A special place to spend a night or two
Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old building, comfortable bed, generous sized tub in the bathroom, nice view, excellent breakfast offer.
Bit of a struggle to get cases up the stairs to the entrance. Luckily we had a room on the reception level. The hot water system failed so cold showers one morning, but that's just bad luck. Aircraft takeoffs from the nearby airport are loud, but not frequent. Don't be put off!

Wonderful
This was our second visit to the hotel which really says everything. We wouldn't have gone back unless we were satisfied with the first visit. The staff were helpful and friendly. The lady in the breakfast room was very helpful and made my bacon and eggs fresh, they were not from a congealed bain marie like you get in many hotels. The rest of the breakfast was of a high standard too. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The bed was big and comfortable. Nice view from the window. Parking is essential but limited so if you are going, make sure you book the parking in advance. The hotel is ideally situated in the old town with interesting walks, bars and restaurants. It is in easy walking distance to the seaside part of Hondarribia with more restaurants and bars and of course, the sea.
No negatives regarding the hotel. We shall go back again.
